Cynthia Jepkosgei Muge was born on July 29, 1993, in Kipsirichoi Village, Kilibwoni Ward, Emgwen Constituency, Nandi County. As the eldest of six siblings, she learned early the values of responsibility, leadership, and perseverance that would later define her political career.

Her educational journey began at Kapchemoiywo Primary School from 1998 to 2007, where she completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). She then advanced to Moi Girls Isinya from 2008 to 2011, where she completed her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Cynthia’s academic excellence continued at the University of Nairobi, where she earned:

• Master’s Degree: Project Planning and Management (2018-2020)

As MCA, she focused on education bursaries, empowerment of women and youth groups, and infrastructure development. Her leadership style was marked by inclusivity and frequent engagement with constituents, earning her the nickname “Sauti ya Vijana” (Voice of the Youth).

In the 2022 general elections, Cynthia contested for the Nandi County Woman Representative seat under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, winning with an impressive 275,500 votes. This victory made her one of the youngest MCAs to ascend to Parliament.

In Parliament, she serves as:
