Beatrice Chepng’eno Kemei was born and raised in Kericho County, where she began her educational journey at Kapkatet Primary School from 1977 to 1983, obtaining her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).

She continued her secondary education at Chebwagan Secondary School from 1984 to 1987, where she earned her Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE). Demonstrating academic excellence, she proceeded to Tengecha High School for her Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) from 1988 to 1989.

Her pursuit of higher education led her to Kenyatta University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree between 1990 and 1994. Not stopping there, she furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning and Management from the same university between 2014 and 2015.

Kemei later joined the Kericho Municipal Board, where she served as Vice Chairperson from 2019 until 2022. Concurrently, she held a position on the Board of Directors of the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) from 2009 to 2022.

In the August 2022 general election, she was elected Women Representative for Kericho County under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, making history as she was elected unopposed, demonstrating strong community support.

In Parliament, she has been actively involved in legislative work, serving on key committees and advocating for issues affecting women, education, and environmental conservation in her constituency.
