Elizabeth Karambu Kailemia was born and raised in Meru County, the daughter of the late Honourable Neere Mbogori, a renowned Meru politician and businessman. Following in her father’s footsteps, she has become a leader in her own right, dedicating her life to serving her country and people.

Her educational journey began at Limuru Girls High School, where she completed her O-Levels between 1971 and 1974. She then attended Highland High School in 1975, earning her A-Level qualification in 1976.

She pursued a diploma in Secretarial Duties at Kianda College between 1979 and 1980, followed by a Higher Diploma in Community Development from Premese Africa Development Institute in 2015. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development at African Nazarene University.

She is multilingual and fluent in Kimeru, Kiswahili, English, and French, which has been instrumental in her diverse career spanning several decades.
