Hanifa Safia Adan, popularly known as Hanifa Farsafi or “Honey Farsafi,” was born in 1996 in Korogocho, one of Nairobi’s largest informal settlements. She began her activism journey in late 2022, focusing on issues affecting her community. Her first major campaign highlighted a drainage problem in Korogocho that had plagued the area for over three decades.
